The retail calendar has kicked in Christmas is on its way. I went into Big W; aka the big shop because it’s the only big store in the closest town we live in and deck the halls the Christmas trees and all their cheap finery are out. It’s October. Wonderful. Let the ‘is it Christmas yet mum’ chorus begin. Thank you large shopping cartel, thank you. Your job is now done.
However it not only worked on the boys as they squealed with delight asking how long before Christmas; it worked on me as I started popping cheap things into my shopping trolley for the stocking fillers yes big shopping cartel your cheesy carols and bright shiny colours worked. So since I was smugly in the organised mood I thought I would post on being organised for Christmas given that the almighty retail giants have given us ample time to start shopping and being organised because I’m sure that’s their intention.
So let’s talk lists and I will be honest I wanted to do a pretty PDF. I looked on pintrest, I fooled around with some free software and I came to the conclusion about a couple of things the first I was still no more arts crafty designee than when I started this blog and secondly for me its procrastinating trying to find these PDF for you to download to look pretty and to perhaps gain some arts crafty respect from you yet honestly? All I was thinking was a sheet of paper, your planner, diary or entering it into your i-phone will do.
So my lovelies here is three lists for you to draw up on your sheet of paper or any number of those pdf’s (head here, here, or here to download some sensational pdf’s for free..Clip board them together and you are now the master both in the know and the looks!)
1. Christmas cards; yes I do them and I love them. If I have your address yes you will be getting one be stalker alert warned.
2. Christmas gifts; everything from the teacher’s gift to what I have to by the in-law and when they have to be put into the post by to get them there
3. Christmas food; you know for the ‘big’ dinner so you’re not half way through making your prawn cocktail or whatever you do at Christmas and realise you have forgotten the prawn cocktail sauce to which you then have to furiously Google to find the recipe to make from scratch. Post note.. after more researching as you do just head here and its all thought out for you. BY. THE. DAY. Including Halloween and thanks giving. American I know but thanks giving in thought; to be grateful and thankful for what we have I think is such I nice tradition.
Ready set go my work here is done. Start now and reap the organisational benefit that is the night before when you’re supping wine instead of going crap we didn’t get B2 a ‘big” gift..Yes its happened more than once I am afraid to say. Lets pray he does not get middle child syndrome however the third time; it did get my backside ready, into my current organisational know how.
