- 1kg desiree potatoes, peeled, thinly sliced
- 80g butter, melted
How to:
- Preheat oven to 200°C. Line the base and sides of a 20cm round cake pan with baking paper.
- Place a layer of potato slices, overlapping slightly, in the prepared baking pan. Brush with melted butter. Continue layering with remaining potato and butter. Drizzle over any remaining butter.
- Cover baking pan with foil. Bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil. Press potatoes down with a metal spatula. Bake for a further 30-40 minutes or until potatoes are crisp and golden. Stand for 10 minutes before inverting onto a large plate.
Serve with stew or a yummy steak.
